While the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) has been able to deliver most of the tier-II and tier-III management associations into its fold, top B-schools have shunned the AICTE-conducted national-level operations entrance exam for their acceptance.
Like the previous year, most of the top B-schools have refused to receive CMAT scores for their admission method. The CMAT entrance test is just a thirty day period away, but many top B-schools are either undecided on accepting CMAT or maybe have decided to go ahead without which includes CMAT scores for their admission course of action,cheap supra shoes.
Top B-schools like SPJIMR, IMI, TAPMI and BIMTECH decided not to accept CMAT for their everyone process. AICTE ceo Dr SS Mantha had sooner said the CMAT examination will be held twice a year. After the September/October check, the next examination would be executed in January-February 2013. According to the AICTE, pupils can take both the exams as well as better of the two scores will be accepted for the admission method.
Official sources from Company of Management Technology Ghaziabad (IMT, Ghaziabad) as well confirmed that the institute will not consider CMAT scores. Intercontinental Management Institute (IMI) will continue having its practice of accepting Kitten scores for all its campuses. Dr Pritam Singh, director-General, IMI, said, We have been conducting all of our admissions based on CAT scores for many years. We find it the right fit for our admission course of action. We will be continuing with the same. When asked whether any of the schools of IMI would accept the actual CMAT score for the admission to a upcoming academic year, he explained Our experience has been great with CAT scores and we will like to continue with the same regarding admissions to all our campuses.
BIMTECH director H Chaturvedi said, BIMTECH will continue to accept scores of CAT, XAT as well as MAT. We will continue to agree to CAT and XAT only for each of our regular two-year management programmes. Having said that, we will consider MAT lots for about 30 per cent bike seats in sector programmes, he said.
TAPMI director Dr R Chemical Natarajan said the institute won't be accepting CMAT for their admission method as they take a very cautious approach towards this. We're also accepting CAT scores mainly for admissions to our unique programmes. A few years back, we added XAT and now we have added GMAT scores as well. But we have not yet added CMAT to our classes process, he said, adding, In the meantime, there is a strict no pertaining to CMAT.
However, some institutes similar to SDMIMD-Maysore and IFIM-Bangalore say they will acknowledge CMAT along with other scores. We are in the short term accepting CMAT scores. We are the AICTE-approved institution and we respect the actual regulatory body. So, you will find accepting CMAT along with other national-level entrances like CAT and XAT, said Dr N R Parasuraman, director, SDM Institute of Management Development, Mysore. IFIM Bangalore overseer Dr BP Pethiya confirmed this CMAT score would be accepted by way of the institute for its admission process.
Some institutes like NITIE as well as MDI are still in the process of deciding whether to consider CMAT score for their entrance process.
However, most of the tier II and tier 3 institutes are open to receiving CMAT scores for their admission practice. For example, institutions like XISS, Ranchi, is going to be accepting CMAT scores.
